To Whom It May Concern,

On June 21st my mother, Ida Shrout, died after a nine year struggle with Altzheimers. Three years ago, upon the death of my father, I became responsible for her well-being. When, two years ago, I could no longer care for her myself and continue to work, I was extremely concerned that I could find the proper placement. Some years earlier I had started and run one of the first day centers for seniors so I was aware of the problems involved in finding good long term care. Fortunately for my mother and me she came to be under the care of Margie Raica, now owner of Senior Paradise Living, 5045 E. Paradise Lane, Scottsdale, AZ.

My mother had her own bedroom in a spacious, well-kept home, was always kept neat and nicely dressed and was served delicious, nutritious home-cooked meals. Holidays were celebrated and my mother had a wonderful last birthday party just a month before her death. I visited often, on different days and times, and always found my mother and the other residents well-cared for. I still go back to visit Margie Raica and the residents. They have all become an extended family for me.

I can say confidently my mother was always treated with dignity and I believe the consistently good care was one of the main reasons my mother remained cheerful and happy to the end. Even her physician was impressed with how well-cared for she had been. I would highly recommend Margie Raica as an excellent caretaker who really cares for the people in her charge.

Sincerely,

Ruth Kern
